Malaysia Disaster Life Support Course (MyDLS) 2016

Disaster medicine is the area of medical specialization serving the dual areas of providing health care to disaster survivors and providing medically related disaster preparation, disaster planning, disaster response and disaster recovery leadership throughout the disaster life cycle.

The main focus is to provide appropriate medical responses in the event of a disaster. This however requires teamwork from various specialized agencies to provide their respective special services. Not only that but they have to work together as a whole to achieve the best outcome. One vital step to achieve this is through effective communication.

MyDLS is designed with exactly that in mind. Not only to train personnel how to manage disasters but for various groups of specialist in their own fields to contribute and to communicate with one another in a non-stressful way to come up with the best solutions.
